Monarch Computer has the 7800GT + Free Nforce4 SLI board for $355. i'm about to press the order button. should i? is this a good price/combo/board?

also.. what is the difference between these two Athlon64 3800+ Venice cpu's? why is one $282, and the other $349 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductCo...103570,N82E16819103531&SubCategory=343

since this post is about cpu/board/video card all in one.. i thought it was best to post in General Hardware

Great Vid card average mobo and I don't think SLI MOBO are worth it. Newegg had eVGA going for like 280 if you still can get it at that price

ok, you want to get the one on the left, the cheeper one. its an e3 core, which means its better overclocker. dont know why the other one is so expensive, must be a mistake. also, why not get dual core? and, if you dont want dual core, get the 3700+ san diego, for the extra cache, and it overclocks really goodly.

Don't know about now, but dual core was really expensive. I still game bf2 on highest settings fine with a 3000+ vennie and a 6800, so since that rig looks like the 7800 is for gaming, I don't hink you need so much CPU power.

Personally I wouldnt want the mobo with that 7800GT but thats just me. Can get a much better SLI mobo than it. Like Finns said its just a average mobo. Nothing special.
