Might as well go with a 1700+ and some PC 3000 or 3200 it will be worth it in the end.

no overclocking no matter what


just want stability and a computer that will play counter-strike , warcraft 3 and games like that maybe madden or something AND of course have the ability to have AIm and IE on at the same time w/o crashing and i think this computer more than fits the bill

And considering its for a family "style" computer it will be plenty fast...

What OS?

If it's XP i would recommend 512, makes XP a better overall OS.. Even if it's for a family member.

Just my 2 cents.
