I'm about to head off to a chess tournament at the community college, it's a 5 game tournament, and it happens twice a year. My record score was 3 1/2. I want to get at least that or more this time. There are computers at the college so I might be able to post from them in-between games. If not I'll be back home at around 4 this afternoon. I need some of the ATOT luck effect :D

UPDATE: WOOHOO!!!!! I WON THE FIRST PLACE TROPHY!!!! I got 4.5/5, and nobody else had that high of a score. This is the first time I've ever won a chess tournament, and it's also the first time I've asked for luck from ATOT, quite a coincidence...

Anyway THANKS ALOT GUYS!!!!

Remember...if he's got you in check grab your opponents queen, hold a plastic butterknife to her throat, and tell him to back off your king nice and easy if he wants her to survive.

Well it looks like I'm going to be heading off about now, so I have to shut down the computer. Thanks for all your wishes, and keep em coming :D (i'll need it)

Hopefully I'll get to post from the comps there, but if not, then I'll have to wait until I get back to post.

Oh yeah forgot. There were 5 games.

1. a pretty long good game, I won.
2. about the same as #1, I won.
3. beat him with the fools mate, I won (obviously).
4. he was about to beat me, but he didn't pay attention and I captured his queen, then, I won.
5. this guy I've played in other tournaments, and I've never beat him, but this time, it was a stalemate.

1+1+1+1+0.5 = 4.5

The guy I played in game 5 got 4.0, so he got second place. There is another tournament in spring 2006, and he said he'd be there, so I look forward to playing him again.
