I bought most of my parts from canada computers (At the actual stores) Great prices on many parts decent prices on the rest.

My experience...

Good and ok service from half and terrible service from the other half, (But it may be because I am not oriental, it seemed to me a fair number of employees provided the oriental customers better service than the non-orientals) ...

I've been to 3 of the five or so stores.... Every single employee was oriental.

All that said, I still go back there to buy stuff...

I've bought quite a bit of stuff there...they even did free tech support when I fried my computer with a piece of bad RAM. Good prices, decent service.

Find a local store and buy from there, pay with CC

Might be a little more in the end but I think it's worth it

I've honestly had no problems dealing with them, but I do know their ratings suck.
I stick with NCIX, Vibecomputers, PCCanada, and Dangeo for most of the Canadian new PC parts purchasing.

Never buy a computer from them. Only buy components, and ensure it still has the factory seal.

I bought stuff from them in the past. As long as you're persistent, and call them about your order, to make sure they ship it, they don't mess with you.

I've bought from them online a few times and haven't had any problems at all. I've also been to 2 of their stores (Mississauga & Markham) and always get good service. It's about an hour's drive for me, so I'm there about 10x per year. I would say they are the best store in Ontario. NCIX is a good option too though, especially since you don't pay PST if you live in Ontario.

NCIX had a 5.99 flat rate shipping deal on until the 27th, should've gotten in on that.

My experience with Canada Computers is also of the in-person only kind. Either mediocre or terrible service from the help, but who cares? You go in knowing what you want, pick it up and leave. Oh, and pray that you never have to return it to them. :p

yeah that is my experience with them too. I hate going there because it takes like an hour to even buy a mouse... but their prices are so good usually :(

My bad experiences:
1. telling me this northwood chipset processo rwas compatable with a willimette (sp?) chipset.. then charging us the restocking fee when we took it back.

2. having a completely different product in stock as was the picture on the website but telling us on the phone that it was the exact product on the website.

My one purchase from CanadaComputers weren't bad but it took them a while to get my order delivered. I deal mostly with NCIX & A-Power, and I find NCIX has the best online service. The quick return time from NCIX/A-Power could be that I'm a Vancouver Island resident.

Hell no, all they do is spam Newsgroups constantly. Use NCIX.com, at least they will give you a reach around.

Yep... why even bother reading the reviews if nothing is going to deter you.
