Hey everyone,

A couple of people have taken to calling me a troll of late, after a little bit of research I found this:

...a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response
- Wikipedia, 2010
I guess I'm a troll because my opinion differs from the majority in a lot of areas i.e. I don't like music, or care if they ban cannabis. So now my question, if I'm a troll, are you?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

I believe you were referred to as a troll because you reminded a lot of posters of someone who was just booted (again) from the forums. I think a lot of people thought you were him.

Everyone else, he is now "mod-certified" good enough for us that he is who he says he is.

seriously, what was your old account name?

mods, please figure this guy out. he seems desperately trying to make posts that make it seem like he is clueless about stuff, but he is failing.

you're trying way too hard to seem innocent for no reason at all. very transparent

I wouldn't say I'm innocent, but I genuinely don't understand a lot of this forum stuff, and I'm looking for explinations is all...

This thread is now about Niagara Falls.....discuss.

The Canadian side's better. We should have taken it when you could still get away with that kind of thing. I'm partial to Great Falls on the Potomac. It's impressive, but still runnable in a boat.

The only person who comes to mind is Phineas J.

There is a strong resemblance between their writing styles and frequency of their posts. The OP is posting at almost 15 a day while Phineas was posting at about 16 per day. It may also be a coincidence that the OP joined at about the same time that Phineas J was banned.

The canadian side is way better, but surely that kind of post is "troll" behavior isn't it?

That's interesting you say that, your the third person to ask if I'm this "Phineas" guy, what did he get banned for?

edit: What is Phineas' account name so I can have a look?

We were there in Early October and stayed at the Marriott on the Canadian side. I agree about the Canadian side being better. The U.S. side seemed like a dirty, less classy version of Vegas. If that is even possible.

I'll have to check out the Great Falls of the Potomac next time we're on that side of the country.

You tried back in 1812.

And failed.

I'm getting a load of conflicting opinions from people... Some people are saying I've been a member before, thus implying that I have some sort of apparent forum wisdom and knowledge, about how things work round here, others are arguing that I'm asking stupid questions that I should already know the answer to... CONFUSING?!!!
