I'm a stingy fellow

So I was pumping gas and this guy comes up to me and said his Suburban ran out of gas across the street and ask if I can fill up his 2 gal jug because he has no money. I tell him sorry and I couldn't help him. He then asked if I had any cash that I could help out and I offered him $1 and some in change (all I had in my pocket). He gets pissed and says, "Awww what the hell am I going to do with that?" and just walks off to another person pumping gas.

I'm actually glad I didn't help that inconsiderate jerk out. Also if doesn't have any money for gas he shouldn't be driving a suburban anyways.

Oh and yea, I do tip atleast 10%.

I don't give money to strangers like that. It's not because I care what they are going to do with it, or because they are lying to me - it's because I'm a selfish bastard and what's mine is mine. I could care less what happens to that person. I work hard for my money and I intend to keep it, and use it for my own personal bidding. If anyone is going to buy booze with my money, it will be me damnit.

Bingo. A bit of it for me has to do with the fact that they lie to me and expect me to believe their toothless dumb ass telling me their Mercedes broke down a few blocks away and they need money for a payphone.

i HATE people asking for money at gas stations. i always tell them no. seems to happen alot too. i guess people give them money, otherwise it wouldn't be so prevalent.
