1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
I will be using it for gaming and recording Video via a PVR (most likely a Happague HD PVR), and some video editing

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
~$900-950 (but minus ~200 for the PVR)

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
Intel - CPU
Nvidia - Card

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Speakers

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I have done some research and am knowledgeable about computer hardware in general, but have never done a build before.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Most likely OC the CPU

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
I'll order the parts within a week

I wanted to get a Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz Wolfdale CPU, but am open to other suggestions
Also, I wanted 1066Mhz RAM, a 1TB Drive, and either a GTX 260 or 280. I need a DVD read/write, no blueray

As the title says, I need help picking out the parts/or suggestions for changes in the specs. I need help especially on the motherboard and the hard drive configuration (just 1 TB or a fast, small one for Windows Files and the 1TB for space) I will monitor this and respond to everything asked. Thanks for your help

Edit: Do i need a mid or full tower case? (to fit the Video Card) And my OS will be Vista 64 bit, I already have it, although I plan to get Windows 7 when it is released from beta.
