I'm a newbie. What's normal CPU temperature?

I just got an Athlon T-bird 1Gightz. My temp is around 46 degrees C with large heatsink/fan. Is this safe/normal?

Absolutly. Quite cool actully.

Quite good actually, it is not uncommon for high speed CPU's to be in the 50-60 degree Centegrade range.

Is there any way to check the cpu and mb temp beside during startup at the setup. Can I put the monitoring on all the time.
