In the movies how many times has the crew blown up/rammed another ship/or other wise destroyed the Enterprise? I was watching the trailer for Nemisis and it looks like they do it again. I would think Starfleet would send out a memo telling them that is what photon torpedoes are for.

Well, the latest model of the enterprise is the Enterprise-E (NCC-1701-E), so that would be 4 times.

C = destroyed in a battle with the Romulans
D = destroyed by a Klingon Bird of Prey (WTF?!)
E = rammed in to a Romulan ship, we don't know if it is destroyed though....yet

You answered your own question It is cashless, so Starfleet doesn't need the cash.

Enterprise A was apparently retired after Star Trek 6

Enterprise B was damaged beyond repair in that Nexxus thing on it's maiden voyage

Enterprise C was destroyed in a battle with the romulans

Enterprise D was blown up by two Klingon hags in an obsolete ship

Enterprise E is good so far....

The lower portion of d was destroyed by a Bird of prey, the saucer portion crashed into a planet.

Another thing that I have never understood is what is up with those uniforms in The Next Generation? Everytime Riker or Picard sit up or down or move they seems to tug at the damn thing. You think in the future they would have clothes that didn't give the wearer a wegie everytime they moved.

My question is when does the A comeback into comission to kick some romulan ass? That would be sweet. I know there was a star-trek book where scotty steals an older ship from one of the museums to rescue Spock, but it wasn't the enterprise.

I personally would not enjoy the whole exploding consoles deal... I think they need new circuit breakers
