So i finally got all my stuff together for my computer...everything is finally working fine but i just noticed something.

My computer is reading my processor as a athlon 1200, it should be a 1900 - now i dont know how to tell what it is just by looking at the cpu, but is it possible my comp is wrong, or is it more possible that i was sent the wrong cpu?

any help is appreciated, thanks

Is your FSB at 100 or 133mhz. Thats a usual problem, people forgetting to set the FSB to 133mhz in anticipation of finally getting their systems up and running 🙂. Don't worry though, happens to the best of us 😀

go into bios, by pressing DEL at the "beep", and set the cpu frequency to 133MHz

100mhz x 12 = 1200
133mhz x 12 = 1600mhz (where it should be)
