Well......... not in the religious sense of being a godparent. But being "chinese" it is a tradition for my friends to have "godfathers" for thier children. More of a ceremonial type position.......... a mentor to the child (although I will be starting a trust fund for the kid). I am just happy that they though enough of me to be the godfather of thier child. I don't know if they will make me legal guardian if anything should happen to them (knock on wood) but I would not refuse such a request because I am willing and able to do it.
