I'm a dummy - what do you use to play DIVX?

Any way to get windows media player to play DIVX or do I need a special player?

Some do, some don't. Depends on how they were encoded. To play the ones that do, get ac3filter. Also, gspot is a handy tool that tells you which codec is being used.

Just download ffdshow and ac3filter and you can play just about anything.

You can find them at sourceforge.net.
