I'm a bit worried

Will it still run okay? I let the TIM dry (accidently) before I got a chance to put on the cooler. I put a drop on, spread it around, but while I was spreading it dried. My temps are 44C idle, 56C load. It's much better than the 56C idle, that I used to have. I would have to blow a fan into my case to play any games. Should my temps be lower than this? Should I take off the hsf and put on new TIM?

first...what does TIM stand for ? i'm assuming you mean thermal grease but i've never heard "TIM".

then, if the thermal grease dried it doesn't make any difference, that's what it's going to do anyway whether you put the Heatsink on right away or not. As long as you got good light layer over the core then you're G2G (Good To Go), ha. -ALAN

** EDIT **
good temp improvement by the way

Assuming that TIM stands for "thermal interface material", then yes, you have good temps. I wouldn't bother reapplying it.

yeah, TIM stands for Thermal Interface Material. Thanks! I'm relieved now that I know I don't have to reapply it.

Incase, you don't know, the whole point of TIM it is to dry and then when it gets hot to melt and fill in the microscopic scratches on the gpu. So, unless it was very hot (you had a blowtorch on it) and it still dried then you have a problem. If it was normal room temperature, even 100 F it's supposed to dry, it means its doing its job. If you are really extremely worried take the heatsink with the dry paste, hold a lighter or something next to it and youll see it turn into mush again.
