Went to see Resident Evil last night and they actually carded me. I asked them why? They said you have to be over 17 to see the movie. I said whatever and showed them my ID. But what bothers me the most, is that 1/2 the theatre is filled with 10 year olds. Without their parents I might add. This is a new theater too, I would expect them to do their jobs a little better.

BTW, the movie was alright. I wouldn't have seen it if I wasn't a Resident Evil fan (and Milla fan).

I guess geoing bald at a young age has its advantages. I have been carded only like twice since I was 16. I even boughton lotto tickets and stuff back then.

Hehehe... when I was a grocery clerk, I had a method for getting tips that worked about 25% of the time. You find a woman who looks about 30-35, and card her for alcohol purchases. Some of them look all happy, etc, and some of them get pissed at the inconvience. The ratio of them was 3:1, and some of the women who got all happy left me a buck or two.

For the most part it was more of an annoyance than a compliment. I love looking younger than I am, but I defenitly don't look 18 anymore (I think). Maybe I should take a pic of myself and let you guys decide. On the other hand, it could have been that I just gotten my hair cut and the winnie-the-poo t-shirt I was wearing. :)

AmusedOne,
Glad to hear from another 30 somethinger. I'm 35 but when I was 29 I was picking up a 6 pack at a convenience store in Vermont (ski trip). The clerk asked for an ID, I gave her my license, she said "I can't accept that". I asked why not and she said it has to be a Vermont license. I said "I don't have a VT license since I live in CT, how about my Federal ID, it's from the Department of Defense". She grabbed the beer and said I can't sell you any alcohol. The people standing next to me couldn't believe it either, I simply told her, thanks, now I'll go to the other store down the street and never stop by here again (I belonged to a ski club right around the corner, soon everyone in the club avoided that store).

Come to think of it, my wife just got carded at Foxwoods casino last week, she's 32.

I get carded for alcohol regularly and I am accustomed to seeing the "age challenger" turn red in embarassment when I prove to them I'm almost 29! Maybe if people think I do look 20-ish, then I shouldn't complain. I am NOT looking forward to the big three-0.

Here you have to be 18 to see the flick here. I went sunday night, when the girl asked me for some id i thought she was kidding. i NEVER get carded for movies, i showed her my driver's lisence and she said i was a year too young(i'm 17) ruined my evening :| :|
