I turn 21 today at 11:04pm EST. My brother turned 23 this morning at 2:05am. Yes we were born on the same day 2 years apart. As far as i know it wasn't planned.

Go out to the bars. Yes you really need to.

That's funny you say that. I haven't talked to anyone yet that can convince me there's anything i'm really missing by missing that whole scene.

so why don't you just go experience it and have a good time? no one said you were missing anything, its just another type of fun to have, just like when you find anything new that is fun to you.

I'll be 21 in a week and feel the same way, I'll be working all day, call my family and girlfriend and then goto bed for my birthday. It's exciting I know but I'm happy with it.

Unfortunately I'm a Baptist and most of what goes on in those scenes goes against what I believe. You could say that I'm jsut a boring old fart but I prefer to think that I'm living the way God created us to live, to glorify Him.

One of the few things I've rarely been accused of being is 'chicken'. I'm the kind of guy that's always trying to drag all the others on the thrill rides and bungee jumping and parasailing and skydiving. ATM i'm trying to finish my associates' degree then go into the Marines.

alohol is t3h devil! nevar drink it, evar!

seriously though, dont you have friends or something? its not all bad, have like 2 beers or something and enjoy the night

Chapter\verse?

Yes He even created wine and drank some Himself, but nowhere will you see Him participating at 'wild wine parties'.

Is being Baptist similar to being a Christian?

Assuming that that's a honest question, yes. Being a Christian technically means you believe in one God. Catholics are christians for instance.

Well have fun with that. You can be Christian and go to a bar or several. Believe me.
it's true. God doesn't want you to not have fun. just because you go out and have a few drinks doesn't mean you are a sinner.
