I want to get away for a weekend with my g/f. Looking to book a room. I can do it online with my CC but i'm afraid when we get there they will turn us away due to age? Is twenty too young to book a room?

 

I think so...usually the minimum age is 18 for hotels like Red Roof, Holiday Inn, etc. Nicer hotels might have a 21 restriction.

Also, call the hotel! DUH! 😛

This was the case i found when I was younger.

Maybe you should read if there are any restrictions on the website before you sign up.

During grad it's a ritual that the graduating class heads up to a local mountain/resort (Whistler) before year end. We got there and got turned away for being too young. We were all 17 and 18 and I think we needed 19 year old. This was already reserved by my parents at the time for discount reasons but we needed an adult to check in with us. We found a not as nice hotel, but good enough.

For cruises you have to be 21 or if you're under 21 accompanied by someone 25.

My friends and I went to Warped Tour in San Fran when I was 19. I was able to book a room for us with no problems.

I think as long as you're 18+ it's fine.
