i'm going to be freshman in college and leaning towards business major.

if i put my mind to it i can do anything (i think), but i dunno what im supposed to do.

i have like $3000 from summer job...should i invest it or something?

and what field of business makes the best money?

Do what you enjoy and do it well. Don't look back and don't listen to the nay sayers.

I should really take my own advice.
 
if you invest right, and live frugally, you could easily be a millionaire by the time you are in your 40s...late 40s maybe.

$3000 will not help you reach your goals unless it's startup money for your own company.

You're asking the wrong people. Ask Anandtech how to overclock your CPU, ask a millionaire how to make money. Could I put it more simply?

Well, I would say that you should start a ROTH IRA as soon as possible, and go with the medium risk plan... Invest as much as u can in there.

Do something that nobody else is doing but needs to be done and do it well.
 
Do something you know and are good at. I had tons of business ideas, tried them all and didn't make a pie why? because i didn't know jack shlt about the business, finally doing something i know and understand better than most people and making good money now.
