illustrator tutorials?

does anybody know any good sites for illustrator tutorials and plugins and so forth?
I've got this banner i've made in Photoshop and I'm trying to convert it to vector format so that i can print 8ft banners of it...
If you've got any tips, here is the actual banner, jpg file...

it's basically a steel texture background, with some simple graphics put on top of it...
thanks in advance for any tips or advice you've got.. illustrator is a bit more complex than photoshop it seems...

Thanks, i'll check it out...

 

to print THAT banner, that big, vector is not really your answer
not all of the elements of the 'banner' you linked to can be vector

your final image will be EPS, that way the text and other lines can be postscript and the photobackground can be raster

how large is your original (photoshop) image?

Also, what version of PS you using?
