I bought an illuminated rocker switch from Radio Shack. There are 3 spade terminals. 2 of them connect to my cold cathose tube ... I dont know what to connect the third one to (is it for grounding?) so that the led inside the switch will glow

HELP!!!

This is a 125V AC switch with 3 terminals.

Copper colored terminal is connected to one side of neon lamp. Connect
to neutral to keep light on all the time. Center terminal is connected
to the other side of the neon lamp and one side of the N. O. Switch.
Connect this terminal to power. Tin colored outside terminal is
connected to other side of the N. O. switch. Connect this terminal to
the load.

Go to RS web site. enter part no. into search field. You will get docs that explain wiring. Basically, you connect copper lug to neutral of AC. You connect middle to hot of AC and load to end if you want the light to stay lit always. Connect hot of AC to end and load to middle it you want light to follow switch. Since it's a neon light, it will only work on 110 AC. If you are using it to switch DC or lower voltage AC, then no light. You should use 275-712 for switching 12V DC if you really want a lit switch.
