Illinois is a really fun team to watch. I'd love to see them crush a UNC/Duke/WF in the tournament.

Just because they are undefeated so far doesn't mean their the best. Wait until tournament time. They will choke and I'm sure they might not even reach the final four. They probably will but a good chance they could only make the elite 8 too.

There is a number of teams that could beat illnois. Duke, NC, Kansas, Syracuse ( gotta respect G-MAC), Wake ( don't let that lopsided win fool you. it was at assembly hall too).

I mean Iowa almost handed it to their ass and so did Michigan.

Illinois will fall and they will not win the big dance. I gurantee it.

Some guarantee....to guarantee something that's much less than 50-50. No team has a greater than majority shot at winning the tourney. Illinois, however, has the best chance out of any school. They passed every test thrown their way, including winning at Wisconsin (hardest place to win in the country) and Michigan State. Sure, they had some games where they did not play to their potential, but so did every team in the country. Wake lost to FSU, UNC lost to Santa Clara, Kansas lost to Villanova, etc. The difference is that Illinois won the games they played poorly in.

Today MSU beat Michigan by like 22 points??? Illinois just barely scraped by. So is MSU better? No but they could beat illinois. It just didn't happen the first time they played in lansing.

Also Today, Wake ROCKED Florida State by like 40 points or something nuts. So the first time FSU won it was a FLUKE.

The whole undefeated season for Illinois is a FLUKE!!!!! Their a good team but they are not that spectacular and they will be beat sometime this year. May not regular season but big ten tournament or the big dance for sure.

Iliinois BARELY squeaked by a few teams. So how can you even knock Kansas for losing to a quality ranked villanova team??


This season for the illinois will be like the 89 season. They will come CLOSE but they will blow it.

1 win - Fluke. Heck, 2 wins - Fluke sometimes. However, 25 wins... not a fluke. Nobody has beaten Illinois yet. Until someone does, they have all the bragging rights.
 
Too bad the Big Ten is not as great as the ACC. I think Illinois will make it to the Final Four, but that's it.

why did you edit your post? ALOT of the 25 illini wins you can't even count since they came against worthless unranked teams. We'll see what their made of come tournament time. Their not all that and will choke.

AND yes college basketball is great. Any team can be beat usually on any given night. Don't get me wrong. Iliinois is a good team but I'm sick of illini fans thinking their the best and won't ever lose a game. MSU should've kicked their asses.

Wow, talk about PNis envy.

Wake was pummeled, Wisconson's 38 game home streak was broken, MSU was wasted, and going into other big ten houses against their rivals is no easy task regardless of rankings. Illinois gets it done every week tho. Some weeks the shots don't fall as much, big deal, but they always defend, which is the least talked about but most valuable part of their team.

They have the best chance of winning it all, and should be considered the favorites.
