Boy some people really worry too much, since I only asked a question about something that may or may not be illegal depending on whom you ask, even thought there are some on these boards who have a "holier than thou" attitude and seem to think they can moderate these forums when in fact they aren't a moderator. If you don't like what I asked about don't respond but don't get my post locked when all I did was ask a legitimate question, and didn;t break any foprum rules that I know of. I didn't suggest that anyone go out and get this patch, but I just had some questions about it. And as far as whether or not this is illegal or not depends on what you do with it, the way I see it if I were to go out and either download or buy versions of W2K and then mod them to 2000 server and sell them as a server OS then that would be illegal but if I mod something I have paid good money for and don't distribute it or sale it then that's my business. The way I understand this patch is that it simply modifies the registry of the OS that you already have and makes the OS think it is really a server OS which will allow you to run server apps on it. Personally I disagree with the fact that my post got locked but if I'm wrong and God forbid have actually caused any members here to lose any sleep, well then I guess I'm sorry.
