Fortunately for most Americans, we do care. :D
Because you believe all the filth you are fed.
If you actually research the issues, you will see why you should not care about illegals entering the country. Lose the propoganda and listen to the economists and others who have done studies.

HAH! I hardly support Bush's policies. He is far too liberal with spending and supports government control of social issues. I can see how the loonie left can see me as a republican.

This isn't a right and wrong issue. Anyone who thinks it is definately has no clue.
Do you actually think any size force will be able to secure the border?
Do you think the security forces will actually pay their wages?
Why are illegals 'wrong'?

So tell me Mr. Know it all, why is this not a right/wrong issue? Why is it soooo badd to protect our borders, protect our country, protect American Citizens? Why?

Yes, I think something can be down to control our border.

Yes.

Is it wrong to rob a bank? Is it wrong to steal a car?

My question is why is the abundance of information denying your stance "propaganda" and "filth", but anything supporting your view is truth? Because YOU agree with it? LOL Talk about ignorant bliss!

You are the one feeding propaganda filth by the Corporate Elite you have aligned yourself with.

Sure your alignment will no doubtedly ensure a nice wealthy living for yourself but it will no doubt come at the price of Americans that love their Country.

Those who are desperate enough to start a new life in any country; risking their lives and starting from nothing should be given a chance. Especially in a capitalist nation where people are hired and paid for their hard work and quality. If an illegal can do what an American can do faster, better for less money; why should the American have the job? They were born into the richest nation in the world with the best opportunities...and he gets beat out by some schmuck from Mexico....shame on them.

Besides the article I posted shows skilled traded and highschool grads get paid more with illegals entering the country. All you are fighting for is the highschool dropouts and welfare bums. They can take a 3% wage cut if they can't compete with an illegal...like come on...

HighSchool kids have a hell of a time finding a damn job, you know why? because the corportions here in Denver hire nothing but illegals. you cant go to one fast food joint and not see the staff 90% hispanic and none speaking english. until you get a fricken clue of this topic by comeing down here and seeing it first hand, i suggest you STFU. your "opinion" has no revelance in this discussion.

As long as we're having a discussion about border security, let's discuss the REAL issues. The answer to whether or not your two issues are "real" or not is yes and no. Illegal immigration is a huge problem stemming from undefended borders that needs to be addressed. Al Qaeda agents getting into the country through underdefended borders is an imaginary threat drummed up by alarmist guys who don't understand very much.

If you are a reasonably well funded terrorist, there are a LOT of easier and safer ways to get into the country. The reason poor Mexicans cross the border illegally like that is because they are poor Mexicans, if they were well funded Islamic fanatic terrorists, they would use any number of other methods. Student visas are popular, as are fake documents (or real documents obtained through a bribe of some low level government employee). Of the 9/11 hijackers, I can't remember if ANY crossed illegally from Mexico...and I can't see why they would, they have access to much better methods.

If we want to discuss illegal immigration, that's fine. But pretending it's a terrorism issue is Fox News BS.

So every American deserves better than another person just because they won the lottery and was born into the richest nation in the world?

Using that reasoning...only rich kids should go to university. I mean why allow those less fortunate the opportunity to better themselves?

Next time you voice an opinion on a) iraq b) iran c) north korea, etc...remember those words: "i wouldnt aruge with you about this since you dont live in the US".

If that's the reasoning you are going to use...you can shutup about every country in the world. Need I go into your message history and see if you've commented on another country? Nice hypocrisy.

Yes, that's what I'm saying...or at the very least I'm saying that the threat is much lower than most people think. Stop thinking in such narrow terms. Yeah, we DON'T know who or what is crossing the border. But when you look at the border compared to other methods of entering the country for well funded terrorists, crossing miles of desert on the Mexican border wouldn't be very high on MY list. And in the real world, your security is only as strong as your weakest link...and the Mexican border is FAR from the weakest link in defending against reasonably well funded terrorists. Sure, maybe it will be a problem once our border with Canada is tight as a drum, and when the student visa program is fixed, and when our documents aren't forgable and every government employee who can make and check them is above reproach. Until then, it's alarmist BS in my book.

It's mind blowing his spewage when he is NOT HERE.

There should be a rule if you do not live here, have no business commenting in such a way as if he did live here.

I'm not saying not entitled to an opinion, just saying it should not be as if you are speaking like you live here.

It would be like me speaking about life in North Korea or Cuba.

Now you get it. If you werent born here and want a piece of the dream, come legally.

And yes, using that reasoning, if you dont have money or talent, you cant get the best education. Life sucks but thats capitalism. Not every businessman can be Bill Gates. Too bad.

If my brother, who has a learning impairment, cant make the grades to get into Yale, does he automatically have the "right" to an education there? Nope.

Now you are getting it.

a) you do speak out on other countries; you always seem to know what is best for iraqi's.
b) Canada faces similar a similar issue, and I'm quite interested in the topic; namely because the press has gone nuts with it and most Americans are misinformed.

If you endorsed capitalism you'd support free labour markets and individual rights. Nationality is such a counter productive determinant of skill and ability. I hope McCowan is reading this...Dave; how can you support people who think the rich deserve the best and so be it.

Disagree with my economic policies but we can at least agree everyone should be given the opportunity to better themselves through hard work.

I agree completely...within our borders. Along with those beliefs I also believe in National sovereignty. Something of which you couldnt care less about. The rich have ALWAYS had it better. Ever since there were the rich. Whats wrong with that anyway? MOST people get rich through hard work of themselves or their family. Why shouldnt they be afforded luxeries those who havent worked? History has already shown socialism doesnt work.

Its simple really. The harder you work, the more you have. Pretty fair I think.

You guys do realize tighter borders and protectionism is a liberal concept right?
The republicans are notorious for implementing liberal policies and branding them as conservative.

We are on the same page.
I am pretty much libertarian...so I believe in free markets, individual rights, and smaller government. As a Canadian with vested interest in success in the American economy...I do continue to support the condoning of immigration in various forms and the condemning of added government fat with little to no return.
