I am not against illegals as a race but because they come here breaking the law and if they are willing to ignore that law then what other laws are they willing to ignore ? Are they paying taxes ? My county is going broke from social services payouts of rent, food stamps, medical care for illegal children, and increase of 357% in 5 years. It got so bad this week that the county announced they are going to have to collect another property tax this year to cover some of the cost. People are pissed, they just paid property taxes and now the county wants them again. They also announced they will be closing the local libraries, senior centers, some of the health departments, and more because of the burdens.

What state do you live in?

According to advocates of amnesty and mass immigration, the illegals pay more money in taxes than what they consume. Are you saying that that is not true?

Can you comment on the crime situation in your county? Has crime increased because of the illegals?

I live in NC.
These illegals are not paying taxes. The reason they use check cashing service is because they cannot get a bank account .

Crime has increased, especially violent crimes. Last year we had a guy working at a service station changing a tire, an illegal came up , shot him in the head and stole all the cash. Last month an illegal burned down the home of a girlfriend that had left him, she was inside. Robberies have increased and drugs as well.

Murder was extremely rare here. Before the increase around 2003 there had not been a murder in the area in over 10 years. Since 2003 when the illegal population exploded there has been 4.

One area of illegal immigration I don't think many are aware of is the boss/worker illegals. The way this works is you have a person that has legal status, has been here for several years and is well established. They usually have nice homes and cars and dress well. They go back to their home country ,around here it is usually Honduras, hire 15-20 guys and smuggle them into the country. The legal immigrant uses his life as an example of what these guys can have if they work for him .Once inside the USA he then provides them a place to stay and that boss handles all the guys needs like taking them to work or to get food or clothing and they pay him a percentage of what they earn and he takes care of any problems with local authorities through bribes, payoffs or whatever.

The illegals under him cannot speak a word of english and know they will get in trouble if caught so they often put up with the boss because they have nowhere else to go. When they are done in one area, he moves them to another house and they continue. There are a ton of boss type people that run operations like this.

Most people think of the 2 or 3 people crossing the border but there are systems set up where they move 30 people across with the express purpose of working at a job set up by a legal immigrant.

Do you think the media has been intentionally whitewashing all of this? I have a sneaking suspicion that a pro-immigration media doesn't want to report on the crime issues and doesn't want to identify criminal suspects as illegal aliens if they can avoid it. (I've read stories where it was reported, elsewhere, that criminals were illegal aliens and that the news media failed to mention it.)

Your description of the "boss workers" makes them sound like pimps.
