Spitting on someone is a crime. Felonious in most states, punishable by fine and or jail time. HIV testing would be conducted to determine if the offender has the bug and if so, may be charged with attempted murder.

Nice eh?

I am a vet but served during peace time. I doubt he would spit on me since I'm 6'4 and a statuesque 240 lbs. In any event, I'm sure I'd be avoiding him based on any preliminary comments he made in advance of the actually salivary event.

Find some new friends?

Eh... he might have told me he would spit on a vet so that he could get me riled up.

I work with a guy who literally hates America. This guy hates everything about America and what we stand for and you know what the kicker is... He is white, and has money. He's a pissed off individual.

Anyway, so I asked him his thoughts on the Iraqi war and what he thought about war vets. He told me that America is a piece of sh*t and that he would spit on any vet because they are mass killers. I'm like wait this isn't Vietnam. I stopped talking to this guy because his attitude sickens me.

Any war vets here? What would your reaction be if this white punk told you that you are a mass murderer for killing innocent Iraqi civilians? Also, what would you do if this same individual spit on you? I could only imagine the a*s pounding that this guy would get.

Meesa tink you making da tings up.

Why? There aren't people like this in our America? For your informatin, on memorial day we had war protestors yelling at war vets at a parade that took place in NJ. What the nerve... if you disagree with the Iraqi war and want to protest the war then that is fine. This is America but at least please show some respect. You don't protest a war on Memorial day and you definitely don't protest a war when there are vets marching at a parade. Show some decency.

Oh and this guy is for real. There are plenty of people that hate America. Maybe they need to spend some time in China.
Yes, there are stupid people in the US, but I still think you're pulling this story out of your ass so you can wave the flag around and get all indignant. JMHO of course. Carry on with the circle-jerk. There's a thread on people wearing "inappropriate attire" to view Reagan's casket as well if you need further inspiration.

He sounds like one of those wacked out guys who are born in America but yeat fight on the Al-Qada's side. But when they get caught, then they want American rights !?!?!?!?!

WTF!!

Sounds like a typical grown-up spoiled brat (yes, that was a dig at modern-day parents) who takes everything for granted. I won't claim the US is perfect - draconian drug laws are a big way in which it's not - but it is a great country regardless, imo the best one on earth but I'm not trying to start a flame war with America-hating Euros 😉 I'd like to see him have views which dissent from the norm in 2/3s of the world's other countries.. he wouldn't be anyone's co-worker; he'd be jailed at best and dead at worst... come to think of it, dead might not be worst - there'd be a good chance of torture.

maybe he doesnt like the trolls mouthing off here, afterall he is smart enough to do better than most of you. maybe its distain of your wrong views that makes him talk like this.

Yeah a guy like that would aggravate me. Probably just as much as you do implying that Vietnam vets are mass murderers. Assclown.

It is the leadership, not the soldier, who is taking away our freedom of the press.
It is the leadership, not the soldier, who is curtailing our freedom of speech.
It is the leadership, not the soldier, who refuses us our right to demonstrate.
It is the leadership who salutes the flag, but has forgotten what it stands for.

Michael Moore has a right to free speech with his documentary. No one says you have to see it, thus denying Mr. Moore your money.

He's got a right to say whatever he wants, and that's what this country allows. Freedoms of speech are there for a reason - because we feel that there IS value to this sort of dissenting speech. If you feel like venting your anger on him or making him shut up, that's your problem for not recognizing the multiplicity of viewpoints people may have.

In regards to the slaughter of unarmed civilians, soldiers are permitted to disobey and/or question an order or action which they feel is unethical or violates international laws governing warfare. I'm sorry, but if you're a soldier, your commanding officer tells you to open fire on a group of unarmed civilians and you do so, you ARE a mass murderer. But of course, most cases aren't that cut and dry simple...

We're not suggesting he be killed or forced to shut up, just exercising our own rights & speaking our minds about him. Goes both ways.
