It may have taken 45 minutes to activate my phone 2 years ago, but it took all of 10 minutes to cancel my service this afternoon. Persistent bastards couldn't understand that roaming wouldn't work when I wasn't getting a signal of any kind.

Hello Verizon and my new Motorolla T720 :)

sprint sucks ass, their 'short mail' service is a joke, it takes 10 minutes to get on the web and check a text message that other services can do within a few seconds, i hate sprint

Yeah, I cant wait for my contract to expire. I wont give the bastards the satisfaction of paying 150 to break my contract, I'm trying to see if I can slip out on a Product Liability issue seeing as the service seems to work like...I dunno....3 days out of the week and my voicemail works...Rather when it wants more then anything....
DAMN I miss Verizon.

Hello Verizon and my new Motorolla T720 :)

While you are within your 14 day trial period, I would bring your T720 back and get the LG VX4400. It's a tad cheaper, still a color screen, gets better battery life then the motorolla, and drops less calls. You win every way :)

Sorry your experience wasn't good. My only problems have been occasional hiccups w/ Vision but other then that its been great for me since I joined them in Sept. '00.

Short mail. LOL. That's total crap. Text messaging is how it's done in the world.

Oh, yeah, to be fair, I should mention that my experience with SPCS sucked, and my opinion of them is low, low, low.

We actually still have a couple sprint pcs phones. It must have been at least five years ago when we got them and they were offering a plan that was no monthly fee but you got 10 mins and after that it's like 30 cents a minute. Anyway, they've been good as semi emergency phones so we still have them but the coverage is terrible where we live in San Diego. We all have phones from Verizon now and the coverage is so much better.

I have sprint pcs vision service with an LG 5350 vision fone...my only problem with them is that sending/receving texts is a pain in the ass, but since im not a texty person (i prefer to call) it dosnet effect me too much, but i hate it when my friends text cuz it takes a while to read em. Other then that sprint is good for me, i get reception everywhere my freinds do (att, cingular, tmobile, verizon)...so im ok with sprint.

I have sprint...really haven't had any problems with it. But I am waiting for the law to take effect that you can transfer your number. I hate changing telephone numbers.

I agree . Sprint is sh!t. I've been w/them for 2 1/2 yrs. For the first 6 months , it worked great. They went to sh!t after that, and i had the same phone, lived in the same place.

hmm, i've never had problems with SPCS whatsoever (i've been using them since high school). yea the shortmail sucks but neither i, or any of my friends use it. and i have great reception at home and when i'm away at school. i guess it just depends on where you live.

yeah, the t720 for verizon is a pretty-troublesome phone. i can direct you to a few forums where that phone is like a verizon-joke. if you go verizon, i hear pretty good things about the new samsung a530 and excellent things about the LG VX4400 (color screen), and the newly-released LG VX6000 (color screen + camera). i am an owner of the vx4400 and considering upgrading to the 6000, and i have nothing but good things to say about these LG phones.

Anyone else notice that near the end of a billing cycle (under a week), it takes 2-3 days to update the amount of minutes used?
This happens every month...I end up thinking I have alot of minutes left, then all of a sudden when my cycle ends they are all gone. And no, I didnt use the phone more thinking I had alot left, some days I dont even use it.

I have Sprint... the only place I don't get a good signal is indoors. Is this really bad ? I don't think so... it's expected. Everywhere outdoors is fine for me.

What I will say for Sprint is their customer service/billing depts fvck up all the time. Their phone service is acceptable. I like them for the $30 I pay per month (with 25% off each month). Otherwise, I would have tried Verizon a long time ago - I only get 15% off of them.

Sprint PCS is awesome, haven't had a dropped call for 6 months. Vision is nice also, surfing the web, checking emails. BTW I am using a Sanyo SCP 5300 phone, cool phone!

Just a warning: The samsung A530 and LG VX-6000 (the camera phone) are not tri-mode phones. They lack analog capability, so you'll want to scrutinize the digital-only America's chioce map against the tri-mode America's Choice map.

I'd go out and get a Lg VX-6000 today if it was tri-mode, but I don't quite trust a non-analog phone yet. The LG VX-6000 looks to be about the same size as the famed Motorola V-60 series with the standard slim battery.

ty for adding that gonagle. very good point. it depends on your locality and if you travel. those are things to take into consideration.
