I'll admit it, I love Jimmy Buffett.

Typically, not my type of music... but theres nothing like just turning him on, grabbing a beer on the deck and just relaxing... I cant wait to actually be able to go out on my deck though, it's a bit chilly in CT right... SPRING PLEASE COME! :D

Yep, Jimmy is our favorite for drinking ice cold beer on a summer night sitting out by the pool. Nothing else quite gives you the kick back and relax feeling.

We got the 4 CD set from Amazon and pop all of them in the CD changer and put it on random, pipe them out to the patio.

Ahh, Jimmy Buffett is great. Anyone remember "pencil thin mustache" or "God's own Drunk"?

Intake, how is Cromwell? I used to live there (well actually lived in Middletown, worked in Cromwell).

ah, I love the buffet.

He only sings about three things, Drinking, Women, and Sailing. Genius.
(ok, he has a few other songs but thats besides the point)

singing along... "wish I had a pencil thin mustache, the boston blackie kind... two toned rickie ricardo jacket and an autographed picture of andy divine..."

This place is like the Condo capital of Connecticut. It's nice, but I think I'll be looking for a house soon elsewhere. Some would say it's a melting pot of cultures. In my condo complex there seems to be a lot of Eastern European immigrants (most of which are quite rude at the Condo association meetings if I do say so myself) but all in all I've got no real complaints except the occasional vandalism by no good punk kids... every now and again, some kids decide it's cool to key all the cars parked on the road... yeah, I wish I had seen them once when my now-wife's brand new Corolla was parked there. I was PISSED.

I also like:

- Margaritaville as done bye Alan Jackson - Country style.
- 5 o' Clock Somewhere as done by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet.

I'll agree, Jimmy Buffet makes some great music.

Also... if you like Jimmy, some members of his band have their own little groups... Peter Mayer (lead guitar), has a great band... my mom is good friends with him.. and a good half of the band has another group called Club Trini, which does a lot of island music. A friend of ours dated Heather (one of the dancers) for a while... backstage connection :D

I bought two tickets for good seats (not lawn) for this summer in Cincinnati, his home town. They were $69/each.

It'll be almost impossible to get decent seats if you're going to a large theater. They sell all the good ones to corporations and brokers before the public has a chance to buy any, and the brokers turn around and try to sell them for $300-700 each.

This is the first concert I've ever been to and its Jimmy Buffett. My fiancees father said we're gonna feel like a bunch of kids when we realize that everyone at the concert is 40 years old. Is this true?

Not really... there's a good mix of older people and younger people. I've been going for 4-5 years now... started when I was 15 or so.. theres about 50% <30 yrs old people who get realllly drunk and party... about 40% > 30yrs old people who get realllly drunk and party, and then there's the people <21 who get reallllly drunk and party. :p
