Brady's TV ads pulled for lack of payment

WGN-TV says it and other Chicago television stations have stopped running ads for GOP candidate for governor Bill Brady because Brady hasn’t paid his bills.
The news comes in a critical time during the campaign as there are just five days before the election.

Brady denied he was having financial problems. As of two days ago the campaign had spent $17 million.

Pat Quinn will lose. Bill Brady will win.

Also, Pat Quinn's eyes are too close together, I think his dad fucked his cousin...

Don't these TV stations knows this is IL? We don't need money, we just write an IOU....whoops, that's CA! We just say we'll pay later, no IOU's needed...

The state government is hundreds of days behind on its bills. Illinois is so fucked right now

That's why anyone who is an incumbent needs to be voted out. Dem, Rep, Ind, whatever.

Whoever was/is part of IL politics needs to go. Whatever causes they had that were so important, if they're that important, will be picked up by the next person if they are really needed.

It is the only way at this point to have even the glimmer of a chance of hope to recover this state.

I think I'm at the point though where we do that, the new Gov. declares the state bankrupt, and then the state can begin to sort through its debt mess. I really see no way out for IL at this point, short of a Federal bailout, which I'm totally and absolutely against for any state (and that includes behind the scenes money like QE/QE2 funds).

I don't really like Quinn, But I think Brady is terrible.

#1, He is a creationist, (which to me, means he is "anti-science", and either ignorant or stupid.)
#2, He believes the bible and koran should be taught in school, opening a whole can of worms since there are thousands of religions, and obviously it's impossible to cover them all. He also thinks that there should be prayer at school, not all religions have prayer, so that is discriminatory.
#3, He wants to lower the minimum wage. It's already quite low at $8.25
#4, He is pro death penalty, even though lots of "convicted" murderers have been found not guilty after they had been convicted. I think it's too risky to possibly put an innocent person down.
#5, Allowing pharmacies to pick and choose if they will distribute emergency contrapceptives is dangerous and bad for the public health.
#6, He thinks gay people should not have the same rights as straight people, he wants to ban gay marriage.
#7, Opposes legalization of MJ

Now, I do see eye to eye with him on a few things
#1 , Gun Rights. In favor of concealed Carry
#2, Term Limits.
#3, Campaign Contributions (though I'd go farther and publicize all campaigns. Take the money and marketing and advertising out of politics, and be more objective and analytical about their positions and leadership, and less about what they did in the 1960s and who they slept with.)

Anyhow ... The whole state government is fvcked up. Quinn has only been in office for a short while, and I don't think he's as corrupt as Blago ... but ... I think he's a bit of a scumbag too. Hell, if I think they had a snowballs chance in hell I'd vote the damn green party.

Are you saying two other states are beating IL for past due payments? That cannot possibly be......

Nothing wrong with 3, 4 or 5 and number 1 is an opinion.

Dave posting about personal responsibility... lol .. good one. Shouldn't you be in jail in GA somewhere for your "personal responsibility" right about now?

WGN is super liberal and its probably a giant ploy since quinn is struggling

burnitdown: are you on crack? IL's minmum wage is higher than most states in the US. only 2 states have a higher minimum wage!

I agree with the rest, except I dont feel most of his views matter because IL is a lib paradise and most of his odd beliefs are so fringe, they arent viable and will go no where.
