To avoid getting tazed by a mod for necroing a 3 yr old thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2185614&highlight=sturmovik+cliffs+dover I'm starting a new one.
Got it on sale a while ago and finally installed it this week, guess it's the annual air combat sim time. World of Warplanes doesn't scratch the itch, will try War Thunder if the grind doesn't drive me away.
At first it was all:
I did play sims but long ago when they were common so it took a little bit to get the routines back and to update & run on WIN 8.1. Not being a hardcore pilot, I was afraid the learning curve would throw me off but it hasn't.
Definitely worth the money and the effort needed to get a grip on the game. I would spend the 1st week in single player only, at least til you can fly in formation without holding your breath
