IKEA speaker stands: ok for acoustics?

I'm thinking about buying these speaker stands:

I'm just wondering if you think the materials it's made of would be ok for the sound.

Don't know why they wouldn't be unless they are really wobbly.

It all depends on how big your speakers are. Those are suitable for BOSE cubes.

PartsExpress.com makes some very good speaker stands for medium to big bookshelf speakers.

i have those. they're pretty solid for being so cheap.. i remember buying a pair of speakers for my parents at bestbuy that were something like $99.

i use these for my satellite speakers (mounted with velcro stickers that go on both the speaker and stand) from my sony HTIB. i highly recommmend these.
