Ikea lighting is the bestest. They're also good for picture frames, cheap breakable kitchenware and storage, space saving storage. If you're in Palo Alto they also carry hot college girls that get confused by the maze that is ikea. I'm thinking of packing a cantine and roaming the place tomorrow.

Some of their stuff is, but a lot of it is good. They have a lot of solid wood and metal stuff.

Uber cheap. I got some nice stainless steel ones for between $7-$17.

A family friend who's starting UM Law in the fall is driving their Excursion from W. Bloomfield, MI down to Chicago this weekend to load up on IKEA stuff. Now THAT'S love. 🙂

I might ask him to squeeze in a lamp or two for me ^_^

Their wood hangers are crazy cheap too - 8 for $3.49.

cheap cleverly engineered stuff that doesn't look half bad.... can't be beat. i walk out with empty wallet all the time🙂

but really, if u tried to buy some of that stuff at other stores, it would cost much more. from bookshelf lighting to...those glass jars with metal clamp shut lids... to french press coffee pots... blah blah... i like their cable trunking stuff. white rubber covers with adhesive back for hiding cables on walls..good stuff. can't find it elsewhere it seems.

Their breakfast is $2.11 for eggs, sausage, potatoes, "swedish pancake", and coffee. Fits my budget.

Heh, adapting as they go I see. Are those pancaces of the American 3"thick kind?

But yes, I also think they're evil. That maze always gives me the creeps :/

yea no kidding, hot girl ratio there is rather high. course most tote around boyfriends though.

I <3 Ikea. excluding my roommate's room and the oak kitchen table that I got from my parents, our entire apartment is furnished with stuff from Ikea.

by the time it breaks, we've already gotten tired of looking at it, and it's inexpensive enough that I don't mind replacing it.
