iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 19' Monitor?

Both of my CTX PR960F monitors have gone back to Onvia due to focus problems along the screen edges as well as too many other defects to list (no...convergence would not correct the problems). Anybody have any experience with the iiyama Vision Master Pro 450? I've seen a few positive reviews, but no local retailers carry it. Where can I find it?

I bought a Vision Master Pro 450 a year ago, i had it for about 4 days and took it back. In lower resolutions ther screen would shake just a bit - but enough to give you a headache. Also the monitor had two horizontal lines going across the screen, i know that this is a 'feature' of the trinitron monitors but these lines were dark. The monitor was also very big in size, and the picture quality was excellent.

I ended up getting a ADI microscan 17 inch with a trinitron tube, smaller but it fits perfectly on my desk.

The Sony G200 is a good monitor, I have the G400 which is 19", but they do a 17" version, which I guess that is just as good

I've had my iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 for 1 1/2 year now. My suggestion is to get the highest quality video card as you can afford, because this monitor really scales in image quality and performance!

I am currently running it with a Matrox G400 MAX in 1280x960 @85Hz and this is "very" comfortable for reading. 1600x1200 is also nice and clear, but the text gets too small for me. Ah well, its only a 19" after all....

You may get ghosting problems with a TNT/Geforce chip card.

It has something to do with Nvida and trinitron screens.

as far as ghosting goes, it happens with the geforce, gts on non-trinitron tubes too. i have the vision master 451 (non-trinitron) and a gts, and at 1280x and up i get ghosting. lower res is great. it is an EXCELLENT monitor.

Thanks for all the feedback. I also read a review that mentioned the stabilizer wires being darker and more visible on this monitor than on other trinitrons. This is also a very tough monitor to find, and the best quote I have received so far is $650. It lists for $699. I was hoping to find it for closer to $500 with one of the on-line discount stores, but no one carries it. This is more than I'm willing to spend for a 19" monitor, so the search goes on.

The lowest price for an iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 including shipping is about $634. It's remarkable how 3 stores with different advertised price end up with about the same price after shipping.

I have used both, I reviewed both and think the are great monitors. I still use the pro 510 and it works great even on a gforce 2 gts. The picture quality was better on the g400 max though, Matrox are the 2d kings.
