IIS Manager/Directory Browsing ext. HD. help.

I'm running Win7 Ultimate and trying for the first time it's Internet Information Services Manager. Under my connections, I've set my default website's physical path to be my Seagate external 2TB HD (H:\) connected via USB 3.0. When I go to directory browsing it is disabled and when I try to enable directory browsing I get an error saying:

Filename: \\?\H:\web.config
Error: Cannot write configuration file

If I change it to a different local internal drive it will enable directory browsing.

I'm trying to setup this server to get my Roku to stream media from my external HD. I successfully setup Apache to display the directory as my local host but the media streaming software on my Roku (Roksbox) couldn't recognize my IP address or I did something wrong so I'm trying IIS manager.

I'd appreciate any advice or knowledge.

Many thanks.
