After messing around with it I went back to my ftp server and apache. I found them to be easier to configure and control and get then exactly as I wanted.
If you know how to configure it properly and know what the limitations are, then it can be quite useful. Even IIS 4 is still quite useful IMHO. And I don't think Apache 'sucks' at all.
