It. Could. Be epic.

Two goals late in the third to send it into overtime in the GOLD MEDAL GAME.

great game......

after new year's, you almost knew they couldn't win another one that close.

great effort Canada... nothing to be ashamed of.

The WJHC is probably my favourite sporting event to watch. Part of it is the pace and game, and part of it is being a holiday tradition. I was lucky enough to go to a few games when they were held here in Vancouver a while back.

🙁 Well we have to let them win it some years I suppose.

I was starting to worry that the other countries would fail to participate.

As soon as (Pietrangelo?) took that shot on the 3-on-1 I knew we had lost.

A) he was the back guy of the 3 so we were SOL if a long rebound came out
B) he was reasonably straight on, and near the blue line, so he didn't have a huge chance of scoring and the rebound was destined to come straight out
C) it was 4-on-4.

The US won because they were nearly as skilled as the Canadians, but they were faster and blocked a ton of shots. We also got badly out-coached, and our goalie sucked.

my theory is when you get in 2 games that close, you really can't win them both. they showed huge kohonas to tie it up..... no quit in them... but two close ones like that, odds are you're gonna be 1-1.

HUGE props to the US... awesome team.
