Last year, IHOP became IHOB for a short period of time to advertise their burger lineup. (Marketing stunt #1)

The publicity stunt did not go over very well with all their pancake-loving consumers.
In fact, one Twitter user told the restaurant to stick to pancakes.
So that is what IHOP is doing - sticking to pancakes. It's just what they are calling their new 'pancakes' are actually burgers.

I wish waffle house would spread up north already and put the final nail in the ihob coffin.

Are their Burgers lacking or do their Customers only eat Pancakes?

On the rare occasion I eat there I only get pancakes/breakfast food. I'd try a burger if they offered me one for free but otherwise no.

Would much rather have breakfast food (or a burger for that matter) in a good diner

I have absolutely no clue why they started this or why they're continuing this. Is beef more profitable for them than overcharging for simple breakfast food?

Fucking bastards also paid to be promoted at the top spot when searching for Burgers on Google Maps (last time I did that, first thing was IHOP - clearly marked as an ad).

Waffle House is massively overrated. Their namesake especially. I do like the price of eggs there though. I don't even think IHOP is amazing but I'd eat there over Waffle House unless I wanted to feel like I'd be stabbed by a random customer or employee.

When did IHOP start having hamburgers? When I was a kid they had all kinds of pancake and whatnot.

I make it a goal to not to be in a place so shitty that my best option is an ihop or a denny's.

Crosses Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Montana off of BudAshes' vacation itinerary.

I would have to guess they're trying to expand brand awareness beyond breakfast foods, so people will consider them instead of Chili's etc.

Overrated? Wouldn't they need to be highly or even moderately rated to be overrated? I like WH, don't get me wrong, but I have no illusions about the quality. I know exactly what to expect when I go there.

There's a law, Mason Dixon line or something. See the North just thought they were the winners. ;)

Both are fine for what they do but the 1 Lenny's I ever ate at sucked.

Waffle House has made it to the shores of Lake Eire. They're also in Arizona but Arizona is just Alabama with cacti and old people.

They're in Colorado too... but I don't know if that happened before or after marijuana legalization.

There is a Waffle House within a mile of my office. I've never been there. We've discussed dining there but there is a roach coach just this side of it that is sooo good.
