"Ignored words" in Search Category?

Your search contained ignored words, ignored words are words like a,and,to,between.Please re-construct your search without these ignored words.

That is the error message when I search using the "Search Category" feature at the top of Off-Topic w/ the word tonight's :confused:

Everytime I try to search the archived msgs, I get Your search contained ignored words, ignored words are words like a,and,to,between.Please re-construct your search without these ignored words. Doesn't seem to matter what words I use. :confused:

Yep this usually happens when I search with multiple keywords. It never works when I do that.

The issue with ignored words is actually a microsoft thing. Full text ignores certain words by default, and really they make sense. Searching for he,she,where etc would create indexes the size of the planet earth. So, it filters out various words, including a-z and 0-9. We wrote some filters to filter those out before they get to SQL server it seems some are slipping by, we'll dig.

Jason, search is still goofy. Go to search, select off topic and put in 'zit' (don't ask:p ). The results are completely out of chronological order, with one topic being repeated many times.

Edit: Seems to only affect current topics.
