ignorant question: jsut got an x8000xl

I basically have two machines in the house.

the first

a64 3000+
512MB
ati 7000ve

and mine

2500 barton
1GB
at x800xl


basically switching compoents wouldn't be much of a problem. My pc is a SFF so I like the size, but if moving to the larger, louder, uglier 🙂() machine will make a significant difference in games, I'd be willing to switch them.

In addition, how would the a64 comapre to the barton overclocked to 3200?

can you get the 3000+ with 1gb? 2800+ A64 is faster than a 3200+ AXP. the rating for a AXP is more comparable to a P4 for games while the A64 rating is way better than a P4(The 3500+ A64 will beat any intel chip except 670 in games. It usuaklly ties with a 670(3.73GHZ EE))

Yeah I will be moving all my equipment to it...

so it will be

a64 3000+
1GB
x800xl

It will help out a LOT with HD video that is for shoe...

Why are you using HD video for your shoe? Hoping it will feel better on your foot after it watches some 1080p goodness? Oh well, whatever you are using HD video for, it will work alot faster on that system.
