I was idling in #counterstrike on enterthegame irc network,
and someone asks for advice on how to increase his framerate.. naturally i tell him hes gunna need to upgrade his graphics card and possibly cpu for any substantial increase in fps.
then this idiot CD|Postal first says something to the extent of "I'm not computer freak don't ask me". Then when i suggested an athlon or duron platform, he instantly broke out into a "durons are trash/durons were not made for games", spam fest.
He confessed that "Athlons were alright, but Durons were equivalent to a p100" which made me laugh to no end. I told him I was getting a timedemo of 217 fps in fastest in q3 with my duron setup.
he claimed he got a timedemo of 450 fps on a pentium 3 700 and geforce 2 gts. After i told him it was impossible for him to be getting a timedemo score of anything over 190 with the hardware he had he ban kicked me.
He then comes into my clan channel and tells us all, that he could kick our ass in any game, even quake3. I guess he didnt see stx-wombat and stx-lagwagon right there in the channel idling along with us.
Anyways i fully encourage people to go to #counterstrike on irc.enterthegame.com and ask CD|Postal for some information on how he gets 450 fps timedemos from his p3 box. Or perhaps ask how an athlon can be "alright" but a duron based on the exact same k7 architecture minus 192k l2 cache is trash.
or one might ask "what's an easy-bake oven bitch like you paying for a p3 700? more than 50$? yeah thought so.."
