Wow...how completely stupid can you get? Using the phrase "Euro-trash" the way you did just shows your ignorance. I'm pretty sure this comment is coming from a person who probably has never smoked it and doesn't know anything other then what mommy, daddy and the government tell them about the big bad evil plant. The "US of A" isn't the only country in the world, asshat. Get some culture because you are what is wrong with our country. kthxbye

Have you ever heard of an alcoholic beat their husband/wife and children? A mom give birth to a baby with fetal alcohol syndrome? What about the millions killed each year by alcohol related accidents. We all know people die from weed each year. Oh wait....thats right, its NEVER CAUSED ONE REPORTED DEATH IN HISTORY. Oh but there is nothing wrong with booze because the government says its OK. I think you should go read some of your reports on why the plant is illegal. Try thinking about it logically and on your own. It may surprise you.

I will simply say this. I grew up in a household where the mother was addicted to it. Her life was ruined. She took it out on us kids by using her child support cash (the divorce was another product of it) to buy it instead of clothes and groceries for my brother and I. She then lost the respect and custody of my brother and I. All in all she lost a lot of important things in her life in the name of getting high. I witnessed it, I promised myself at 10 years old that I would never touch it. Do what you like, but do not cry in the end if it bites you in the a$$. I have no sympathy for her, I sure as hell won't for anybody else.

A few point s to make:

POT helps MS suffers not cancers suffers.

POT has different legal standings in different countrys.

Each to their own behind closed doors - as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

Alchol & Tobacco are legal due to the nice taxation subsidies the government can make from it.

Education is the key

POT is NOT addictive - they style of life the person choose might be, but not the drug

Long term studies only show a slight increase of paraniod thoughts (5+ years or more)

If it were to be made legal then the prices will surly go up and the quality go down

I loved smoking Pot, but it wasn't good for me. It made me really stupid while high and the aftereffects (loss of concentration, depression, irritability) lingered for about 48 hours.

My conclusion is it's bad for me. Other people don't have the problems I did. Too bad, I really really liked getting stoned but I don't do it any more.

So maybe my link sucks...I was looking at the information in the chart which for the most part is true. Plenty of information if you just google it. Be careful of government sponsored sites though....

It's just like alcohol in that some people can use it habitually and still lead normal, productive lives, and it will drag other people down to the bottom rung of society. I don't think it's the drug the person uses that matters, it's the person themselves.
That said, physiologically speaking, alcohol is clearly worse for you than marijuana when used in excess.

DAMMIT you fvcking conspiracy theorists. That's NOT why pot is illegal. Why in the hell couldn't they just tax it if they made it legal??? Answer: THEY COULD. The fact is, pot is illegal because you can't just casually use it and NOT be intoxicated. I could smoke 10 packs of cigarettes in a night and still drive home. I could have a few beers and still drive home. But one good puff of the herb (maybe two if I've been smoking up regularly) and you can't drive.

Yeah it really comes down to the person. I used to smoke to relax after work. I would get high and kick some ass at counter-strike and maybe eat some cheetos.

Oh and to any kids in this topic... You should be in school and learning not on ATOT and there is a time and a place for this kind of stuff, its called college.

Pretty much the same here minus the aftereffects. I smoked herb so I could be stupid & have some fun. Now I don't spell as well as I used to and have slight ADD. I don't think it is bad at all if smoked on a non-regular basis, but if you smoke it everyday it will cause damage. I used to be the biggest supporter of weed while I was smoking it for 10 or so years, but since I quit I realize how stupid it made me & how dumb my stoner friends really were.

I have no ill feelings for any of these people. Smoke em if you got'em and if you're against it then crack a :beer: and try not to rip on the stonies. Bottom line is you have no idea what that stoner's been through, maybe they smoke the shiznit as a means to cope with a troubled past or sad reality. In my country it is looking more and more like the laws are going to be changed, for better or worse.

We shouldn't care much either way - to each his own. BTW I'm sure there are countless forums to discuss drugs out there, yet it keeps coming up here on a weekly basis.

I used to smoke, and I loved it. I quit because it's illegal, and it hindered some of the things I wanted to do.

But golly, why is it everyone's job to make sure the next person isn't having fun.
