I'm 6'7" and i have the hardest time finding pants. When people say big and tall...they mean Fat. I know there are quite a few tall peeps here at ATOT, so where do you tall peeps get your pants? I'm looking for sizes like 38x38 (WxL) or even better 38x40. So what are some good stores, online or real life?

I find my pants at one or two of the several big and tall stores around me. There are two in a close mall, and another in a different mall a ways away. They're expensive, though, I suppose...$55 for black jeans, but whatever.

Shoes, on the other hand, is a royal PIA. I have to drive an hour away to get my 16 1/2's.

BTW, there's a magazine I get every once in awhile called "KING SIZE" that has some nice, CHEAP stuff. Check it out.

WOW. This is a question I should've asked years ago.

Since my sn is tallest1, I think I most qualify to answer this:

I am a 38x38 and I get my short pants (jeans shrink too fast, so I get mostly cargo pants now) (as in baggy & below the knee) from Target's Utility line. Target also has a good supply of tall colored T-shirts. They're inexpensive and they last long. I get my long jeans/cargopants from a place called Demo, a shop full of 'urban' clothes. Since baggy pants are the 'in' thing and they have buy 1 get 1 free sales like every 3 monthes, I have no problem finding long pants there. For long khakis, I custom order from the JCPenny Tall men's or Big and Tall Mens catalog. For tuxedos and formal wear, I get custom fit.

However, the one thing I haven't found are good tall collared shirts (white ones [for work] and casual ones). The tall casual shirts, are long but they always make the sleeves embarrassingly short :|. White collared shirts for our size, as far as I know, don't exist. I RARELY wear them since I look stupid in 'em.

( If you're reading this and theres any other places I haven't mentioned, PLEEEEEASE for the love of tall people, post!! )

Edit: LordMaul and anyone else - post your dimensions too please

I've been buying Silvertab Jeans since finding a 36 inseam has become a problem. JC Penny is good for that , and apparently they can (or at least used to be able to) special order jeans from Levi in other lengths. I can usually pull off a 34 length inseam as long as the pants are baggy enough, but nothing beats 36 for me.

Structure, American Eagle, and the other mall retailers don't tend to stock stuff over 34 inseam usually. For button down shirts, I try and check out the clearance section on AE.com after the season is over (ie: winter clothes start selling in the fall so they're clearenced around december) because apparently AE doesn't sell much XXL stuff in their stores. I can usually get some good some nice looking shirts there that are long enough (a problem I have with XL button down shirts).

If there's one in your area, try the Big & Tall stores. I'm 6'5" and that's the only place I buy pants.

I wear 32x38 and have no trouble finding pants at many stores. Never even been to a Big and Tall shop. Of course, the only thing I ever wear are Levi's 501s.

For those of you who are unfortunate enough to be stuck in one of those jobs where you actually need to worry about it, the best place - bar none, is:

http://www.landsend.com Also great for shirts for those of us with long arms and skinny necks. Not the cheapest (although less then most B&Ts), but these people INVENTED customer service.
