If you're shipping something

Sit right back and you'll hear a tale. A tale of thick bvllshit.

So, my gf's iPod broke down about a month ago and it was still under warranty. Ok, no problem, arranged for Apple to send a package for me to ship it to them. A week and a half goes by and we still don't have the iPod back... My gf calls Apple and they proceed to tell her that the shipment was sent and should've been here by now. They transfer her to DHL; "The package was signed for and delivered, ma'am" *head rotates 900º* WTF. So she tells them that there's no way that's true. They tell her that they're not seeing a signature in the appropriate dialog box, so they have to investigate the security tape. Now we have to sit here with our collective thumbs up our asses while they play gumshoe. This was last Thursday. She calls today and they claim the tape showed nothing and transfered her to put a report in to get reimbursed. They now claim that they don't even see her name in the system. Now, in the words of perhaps the most influential philosopher of our time, "I got love for a n|gga, but n|gga please" - Ol Dirty Bastard. This was earlier this afternoon. Guess she'll have to call again tomorrow. They have her like
a pair of hooker's panties: up and down all over the place with nothing to show for it.

Moral of the story?
a) don't use DHL
b) don't buy overpriced mp3 players
c) all of the above.

I say C.

cliffs:
1. gf's broken ipod under warranty; shipped to apple for replacement
2. dhl claims it was delivered to us, but then claim there is no sig in their system
3. gf calls back and DHL claims that her name isn't on the system.
4. my head fvcking implodes

I like DHL. They're the only delivery company around here that will call to reschedule delivery the same day.

Thats because there trucks never go out full so there drivers have enough time to do that. FedEx and UPS drivers have full days all-ready, they don't have time to drive 10 miles back to your place just because you where on the crapper when they came the first time. 😉

I receive alot more stuff via DHL lately, and personally, I have no problem with them and have gotten everything as planned.

Yay!! Ordered an SD550 from Dell a week and a half ago. Today DHL told me they left it at my front door (in the 10 degree Chicago weather). There is definitely no camera here and the ghetto cs rep thinks I am lying to her. Nice service.

DHL is evil, I was expectnig a delivery and they told me it would be at my job by 4:30. I didn't get it until the following day since no one was available to pick it up after hours!

Did she ask apple for a Tracking number ? Any type of proof it was sent out ?

Nah, nothing sucks more than UPS claiming you signed for a package even though you didn't.

"It says you signed here for teh package on so-so a date"

"But I wasn't even home....can i see the signiture..."

"Sorry, but we can't show that for you..."

"Why???"

"......"

...Is where you should have stopped... There is nothing worse than these slimey scumbags. I hate their worthless organization with every bone in my body.

Yeah, DHL is teh suck. They came to deliver a package one day I wasn't home... so they left a Attempted Delivery note. I called the local office to have them redeliver the next day when I would be home, and they "attempted" delivery but never came by. I called the office that afternoon and they said the driver couldn't find the address so they had marked the package "Return To Sender"... WTH?!

Pony express is making a comeback. They're having a problem with those large packages though. Seems they can't fit in a saddlebag, and the riders complain about feeling squeezed when they're put on top.

I was sent a package by DHL by an online company I had never done business with. My name was on the package, but an individual from Alberta was invoiced the item. I called DHL and had them pick up the item, which they did. Then they charged me a brokerage fee.

You can imagine how that conversation went.
