Will a 3200+ OC'd to 2.2GhZ run any cooler than a 3000+ OC'd to the same level? If not, obviously there's no reason to get a 3200+ over a 3000+. But I'm interested to hear people's experience/thoughts.

All venices will basically reach around the same max. The only advantage to the 3200+ is the 10x multiplier, but with a good board it is unlikely for you to be limited by the HTT.
Also since you are only trying to reach 2.2GHz just get the 3000+.

3200+ is only for those with HTT limited boards, ie. Asus, Abit, Gigabyte, etc... (Those are just examples, don't flame me)
mine is running smooth @ 2.6GHZ 1.47v

nick, update your CPU-Z verison. You have 1.23; I know there's at least version 1.26 (I'm using it) and it reads my Winchester correctly.

No.
The reason I would suggest the 3200+ over the 3000+ is to allow you reach a higher maxium speed, and using the 10x multiplier will make it slightly easier to get there.
If you plan to stop at 2.2, then the 3000+ should get there.
Just realize that there are no guarantees when OC'ing.
