If you're familiar with Shuttle Ultra AN35

I have a shuttle ultra AN35 Motherboard and an XP2600+ processor, I bought this board because I heard it was easy to overclock and I wanted to try it out. Well so far I can not get it to even normal clock. I have a stick of Rosewill (I know cheap stuff) 512MB PC3200 RAM, and when the computer boots it reads AMS 1250MHz processor. I have tried all different types of setup in the bios and it either still reads that slow or it doesnt boot. What should my bios chipset settings be at????

This is just a preliminary guess, and I haven't thought it through, but could it be that the FSB is set to 100 MHz rather than 133 MHz?

If that doesn't help, consider it a free bump. Good luck...

P.S. Also, just to be sure, can you check the RAM in another computer (the one you're posting on for instance?)

Full specs please, including brand/model of power supply. Is the 2600+ a mobile or standard chip?

Go here. Read the instructions at the bottom of the page.

Then, click on the link for the exact motherboard you have. If you flash the wrong BIOS, your system will be unbootable.
