All our important documents, photos, etc... are scanned and backed up offsite. Of course we have insurance and all that as well. We have a fireproof safe, but from what I've seen from a co-worker whose house burned down: while the safe might survive, all the documents inside will burn up anyway and the gold jewelry melts.

Right down the street from me. Since it happened so close the chances of it happening to me are lower. We all know lightning can't strike twice right? Therefore no backup plan needed. I feel better already.
