if it was a permanant thing, i would probably break things off. if it's only for a few months, i'd try to stick it out.
after being in an LD relationship, and seeing my SO once every 3 weeks, feelings really wore off and I would say that was the downfall of our relationship. she was away in college for 2 years and it's what pretty much made me lose feelings.
That and her probably getting interested in other dudes had something to do with it as well....it's college man...![]()
I've considered doing this but my job isn't good enough to justify all the gas I would use.Originally posted by: Otaking

1.5 hour drive a long distance relationship? Wow..
There are people that drive 1.5 hours, one way, to work each and every work day.
Work is different though. You're married to that one.![]()

My at the time girlfriend lived about 5 hours from me for a year. We saw each other several times a month (one of us would typically make the drive each weekend). Now we're married and she technically lives about 1.5 hours from me. I see her every weekend (I typically drive down to see her).
My job is in the same town that I grew up in so I stay with my parents during the week (no rent) and drive down to our place on the weekends. My wife is in med school which requires her to be down there. I've been trying to get a job where we live for the past year but I haven't had any luck. It's not an ideal situation but I have a job and she's able to continue going to school so we're making it work.Originally posted by: tfinch2

Why are you still 1.5 hours away from your wife?
For one semester me and my GF were about 1.25 hours apart. I would visit her once or twice during the week, then every weekend.
