If your friend plays ram salesman (instead of car) on you.

One of my friends pops up and starts bashing me to buy some 2X1 GB kit of OCZ DDR500 EB's for $150 shipped from him. But apparently he didn't know anything about the ram, and started lying about the ram (chips, etc.). He started rambling that it retails for $280 on newegg, and how I'm getting a good deal in the end. At first though, he stated the ram was brand new, never opened. But after interrogating about the ram for so long, he slipped, saying that he gave the ram to his friend to use.

Next, he began capping (or yelling). First, by saying that if the ram cannot run its rated speed, that he would assure that I'd get the best customer service through OCZ. But, after asking so many questions, he pretty much told me to STFU and leave him alone since I'm asking too much about the ram, in which I pretty much turned him down too.

SORRY IF IT IS THAT CONFUSING FOR YOU.

Bad decision? Or good?

Cliffs (for better understanding?).

Friend starts yelling at me to buy ram he never tested.
Rambles on about the ram he doesn't know anything about
Starts rushing me into buying it.
Says I complain too much...
I turn him down.

Edit: I'm revising...

WTF are you talking about? I don't see anything in that post that says you made any sort of decision. Why are we having so many "WTF" posts today?

bad decision. what you should do is go to his house and fvck his dog.

and no. i have no clue wtf you are talking about

Given the details of this situation, I'd turn it down on general principle. Perhaps I'd reconsider if a) I could confirm without committment that it was indeed a better deal than I could get from a reputable retailer, b) I actually wanted that amount of whatever speed and timing ram it is and c) I could also confirm without committment that it was in working condition.
