Statements like that are creating a high tension atmosphere, which is not conductive to serious discussions, and they should be discharged immediately.

i am not surprised that the bear died because it mistaked power lines for spaghetti, but because i would imagine this is an odd way for a bear to go.

That is one of my coworkers. Saw that a couple of weeks ago. Not a computing company.

Certainly not neutral.

You wanna hear some wierd stuff?
My alternator fan blade broke off, and took a bite out of my PS pulley.
Yes, the alternator's FAN. So now I've gotta replace my fan, and replace the PS pulley, but more likely, I'll have to replace the entire pump. The pulley is plastic, hence why it chipped. Beautiful.

Damm did the bear get it good though!

I'm not sure what sparked this debate, but I assure you I have insulated my self so as to remain neutral and grounded.

I'm curious why charged lines wouldn't either be buried or on poles... The bear shoudln't have been able to get near that IMHO.

There's actually another picture showing the ground that was burned by electricity conducted through the bear. There was work being done at a remote site so the electrical was exposed as well as other buried cables.
