would it eventually reach a temperature of absolute zero?

Shielding it from radiation is the tricky part, i think a series of overlapping mirrors forming a sphere of protection would be necessary. Mirrored on one side, highly absorbent on the other.

Would the object (whatever it is) eventually run out (emitting radiation, but not absorbing any) of all energy and reach absolute zero?

The insulation would have to be <= 0K for that to happen. Otherwise it would be radiating heat to the object, warming it.
