ok, over at HardOCP some guy offered me a trade for my 9500np video card

he sends me an Geforce2MX card & $40, and then i ship the 9500, and then he sends his 8500le.

it sounds like a good deal, but 2 problems:

he has only 2 heats

he lives in canada

what else should i ask for to assure my safety?

Ask him to send the 8500LE and the 40bucks. gf2mx later. That way, you won't lose much if you get ripped.

Get his details too. Phone number if you will.

yeh, the only problem with that is then i lose the geforce2, since that was only so i could have something to use while he receives mine.

what other info can i get to be safe? i have phone & address

Call him, talk to him. Since you have 86 heat, he should listen to you and not you comply with his wishes. IF he still refuses to send you everything, I suggest not doing the trade at all no matter how tempting it is.

Since you have 86 I'd say you dictate the transaction.
He sends all the products, then you send yours back.
Right on. He'll understand if you say to do this, given his heatware. If he resists, don't bother. You can find someone else with which to deal, it's not worth the risk.
