Chrysler 300 SRT 8- The only way to go. Change the front grill to mesh grill + some new shoes.

I don't see why get anything else? Maybe the Charger if you don't mind the interior. CTS is the third on my list.

I would not get Impala or Malibu- had them for rentals- horrible. - if you are low on budget- at least go for the Saturn Aura.

Wife just got a Fusion a couple months ago. We really like it, no issues yet.

American sedan means ....

made/assembled in America?

or

American brands, regardless of where they are built?

Do you really have to ask?

A Toyota built in the US is still a Japanese car. A Chrysler built in Mexico is still an American car.

I do have to ask because there are people that buy American for different reasons. Some buy to support the local jobs & economy and IMO, buying a car from the Big3 that is assembled in Mexico does not do as much compared to a car built in America regardless of who makes it. The assembly plants employ local people and contribute to local economies.

However, if you are buying American because of the brand, then it does not matter. Maybe generations of your family have worked in the company and have been treated well, so you buy their products.

So I think it does matter.

I remember the old 300m.......(is this car not around anymore??)

Now there's 300, 300c. Any other 300's??

(I liked the 300m's!)

The 300M was the old FWD piece of crap and a totally worthless and forgetable car. The new 300/300C is the RWD platform that looks kind of like a Bentley and comes with a hemi engine (an option of course).

Buying a car solely to support the economy has got to be the worst reason to buy a car. Save your money and buy a bus pass.

charger, but i'd look silly driving it.
*gasp* fusion.. .mainly because of it's sharing w/ the mazda6...

even then.. i dunno. my calipers have FordMoCo printed on them unfortunately.. and i'm not sure why they felt the need to use ever so slightly different sizes for bots/nuts on the brake lines/bleeder.

'56 chevy 2dr.

If GM brought over an opel vectra w/ diesel and 6spd manual, that might be a viable option.. nothing currently made here though. They're just too, uh, american ;)

So worthless it was C&D's 1998 COTY. We have a LH series car in our household. Reliable, good power, big trunk, tons of interior room.

Most american sedans look like a pillow with wheels. Perhaps it is supposed to show "power" or whatever.
I'd go with a new 1.8L Civic.

Chrysler 300 or Chevy Impala SS for a sedan.

Mustang GT if sedan isn't required.
